The story of Raise Your Voice Foundation (RYVF) began in 2012, long before its official establishment. Himanshu Shrimali, our founder, was a college student when he noticed a significant gap in resources for children with immense potential. Witnessing these kids struggle without the right support deeply moved him. Determined to make a difference, Himanshu, along with a few friends, started informally teaching and assisting these children.
Initially, the group focused on providing basic education and general support. They went beyond just teaching; they helped these children get admitted to schools. Himanshu, an alumnus of Samrath School, personally approached the management to secure admissions for the kids. This was more than just an academic endeavor—they also taught the children social and moral values, preparing them for a brighter future.
Their efforts did not go unnoticed. Over time, more people began to donate and support their cause. By 2015, Himanshu recognized the broader impact this initiative could have, not just on the children but also on the community of donors. This realization led to the official launch of Raise Your Voice Foundation.
With its official inception in 2015, RYVF set up its operations in Chandekha, Ahmedabad. The foundation’s mission expanded to include supporting widows and people in need. They connected with 15-20 other NGOs working on various causes, acting as a mediator to facilitate donations and collaborations.
Over the years, RYVF has grown significantly. With more than 50 dedicated volunteers, the foundation has changed over 500 lives. From helping children access quality education to supporting vulnerable populations, RYVF has made a lasting impact on the community.
